Flints BlazeBlocka
BlazeBlocka®, our new easy-to-apply flame retardant, will prevent the spread of flame on a wide variety of materials by forming a heat shield which deflects the heat away from the material. It is so effective that even a blow lamp will not ignite tissue paper treated with BlazeBlocka®.
BlazeBlocka® can be used on pretty much any absorbent material - it’s colourless, odourless and non-toxic. Use it to treat carpet, hessian, foam rubber, untreated timber, dried flowers, curtains, cotton, canvas, polycotton, polyester and more.
BlazeBlocka® will treat approximately 10.5 square metres per litre depending on absorption of the material. Always pre-test a sample before application. Spray the material to be treated on both sides ensuring all the edges are treated. Allow to dry. Wash equipment with water after use.
Tests have shown that on cotton canvas, polyester, and a poly/cotton mix it achieves BS5867: Part 2: 2008 (2015): Type B Curtains, Drapes and Blinds, and even on untreated plywood it achieved BS476: Part 7: Class 2. If wetted in any way it is essential to re-treat the fabric to meet flammability requirements.
Available in 1, 5, and 25 Litre quantities. The 1 litre is supplied in a trigger spray bottle for easy application.
